Some people are get-up-and-go-ers,bounding out of their beds at sunrise, raring
to face the day ahead. Others prefer a ‘one more snooze’ policy, refusing
to immediately rouse from their slumber. But, once awake, everyone has
their own preferred morning routine. It might allow time for lazing around
reading the papers, or maybe it’s a to-the-minute military operation. Some of
us will layer on skincare and perfect our look before leaving home; others
will keep it simple with that one product they use to achieve their desired
glow before rushing out of the door. A luxurious foaming shower gel with
an indulgent fragrance might set you up for the day ahead, or perhaps it’s
a dance around to your favourite motivating playlist that leaves you feeling
confident for hours to come. We asked three ELLE women to tell us about
the morning rituals they follow to set them up for the day...

THE FUSS-FREE SELF-STARTER
LIV LITTLE
Founder of Gal-Dem
My mornings are pretty simple. I enjoy my
sleep, so I aim to get eight hours every night
and wake up feeling rested. I set my alarm
for 7.30am, less than an hour before I need
to leave the house — I’ve managed to ensure
my routine is now a fast operation.
On most days, I’ll shower, shave my head
and moisturise my body with natural skincare
products that my girlfriend makes. For my face,
Neal’s Yard Remedies makes great natural
and organic creams that are gentle enough
for my sensitive skin. I’ve also started taking
vitamin D drops to boost my bone strength.
I don’t follow a traditional beauty regime and
rarely wear make-up, but it’s vital that my skin
feels nourished before I start my day.
The Calm app is a new discovery for
me that helps to ease my anxiety.Running
