Ione Gamble
Twenty-five-year-old Reading native, Ione
Gamble runs Polyester, a refreshingly honest
magazine that celebrates female and queer
artists, from Pussy Riot to Tavi Gevison, Cupcakke
and Polly Nor. ‘Polyester is about embracing
our identities and creating the change we want
to see in the world,’ says Ione. Entirely self-
funded, the title celebrates its fifth anniversary
this October. ‘I want to keep facilitating the
stories of people who were previously unheard.’
