GOWN SHOWDOWN
SEASON 1 Brenda and Kelly said yes to the same dress
for the Spring Dance. The friends gazed at each other
in horror after Kelly and crew arrived at the Walshes’
place to pick up Brenda and Brandon before the big
event. When Spring Princess Kelly demanded that
Brenda change, Brenda refused, and the girls were
forced to spend the night in identical gowns. It worked
out in the end—Kelly won the Spring Queen crown,
and Brenda lost her virginity (at last).
DYLAN TRIPS OUT
SEASON 5 High on heroin, Dylan got behind the
wheel and crashed his car. At the hospital, where
doctors put him in a medically induced coma, Dylan
experienced a series of bizarre dreams involving a drug
dealer, his high school principal, Valerie, the Walshes,
his own father, Jack McKay, and Donna dancing in
a vinyl dress. The episode, “The Dreams of Dylan
McKay,” was as trippy as the show ever got—an hour of
surreal TV that crossed into Twin Peaks territory.
