SPOTLIGHT

What’s on your desktop
today?
A cactus, Post-it notes, random snacks
of varying healthiness and the
remnants of some glitter from my
miniature Christmas tree – that stuff
just won’t leave!

What do you have on the
walls?
One full wall is painted an awesome
yellow geometric pattern and the other
features a shelf full of design
magazines, various prints and our large
whiteboard for planning.

What will you do for lunch?
We usually grab lunch downstairs in the
breakout area of our office building and
catch up with some of our neighbours.

What hours do you work?
We have flexible working hours, so we
start between 8am to 10am and finish
up 4pm to 6pm.

What else do you do in the
office?
We have a very hard working Sonos and
there’s also a games room with arcade
machines, foosball and table tennis to
help break up the day.

How often do you all hang
out?
We have a monthly team lunch and
Fridays usually involve a few beers!

Describe your office culture in
three words
Stimulating, friendly and flexible.

Describing it as a “template-led” design, Noughts & Ones began with an existing Squarespace
template that was then customised

of which was an immersive full-bleed
cocktail gallery. We customised a
slideshow content block using CSS to
achieve the layout and controls before
building in separate CSS for individual
breakpoints to ensure it was responsive.
We loved working on this project as it
gave us a bit of a ‘playground’ to explore
some creative development under the
guidance of those concept mockups.

You built a new site for creative agency
Mr President. Tell us about that project.
JC: We’ve admired the work of Mr
President (www.mrpresident.co) for a long
time and were super excited when the
opportunity came along to work with
them on the design and build of their
new Squarespace website.
They were in need of a total refresh
and wanted the freedom to produce
completely bespoke designs that could
be built on a platform that was easy to
maintain and update in-house. We
supported their designers during the
website design phase by providing
platform expertise to help inform
creative decisions with a clear
understanding of how certain features
and functionalities would be built.
Once designs had been completed we
did our thing with the noughts and ones!

Being involved early on in the design
process really enabled us to build their
website efficiently. The whole team at
Mr President were a complete joy to work
with and we’re really pleased to be
continuing to work with them to push
their Squarespace site further.

Bone Idol makes luxury apparel for dogs.
How did you approach building a custom
Shopify store for them?
JC: Having completed the Shopify Expert
and Liquid courses over a few weeks of
my ‘platform development’ time, I was
itching to get stuck into a custom
Shopify project when the opportunity to
work on this store came along!

the belief that dogs deserve the best in

Wolfegang, had produced custom
website designs for a new luxury client of
theirs and approached us to build the
site on Shopify.
