designs calm, highly crafted spaces. Working
with original structures, such as a Victorian
house in Kew (pictured) or Shepherd’s Bush,
or an 18th century barn in Oxfordshire, the
team restructures and reformats seamlessly
using materials such as concrete, solid oak
and limestone.

Ida Sze and Billy Chan met while working
at Herzog & de Meuron before co-founding
Ida & Billy in 2013. Striving for simplicity,
and paying attention to requirements and
character of space, the team has achieved
a genuine identity for each project at
