residences that are ‘platforms for living’,

on exhibition projects for the Powerhouse
Museum in Sydney and the Science

Portugal
Lisbon practice Colectivo Cais explores
ways to encourage social behaviour across
residential and public projects. Founded
in 2014 by Guilherme Bivar and Marta Pavão,
the studio’s work is rooted in the Portuguese
vernacular, responding to context and
optimising traditional architecture in
a clean, contemporary way, as displayed
in projects like the Cristóvão House
