A COSY CORNER WITH TAPE ARMCHAIRS, RING AND BODEN COFFEE TABLES.
The eclectic Japanese Nendo studio directed
by Oki Sato, who joined the Minotti designer’s
team this year, signs Ta p e. A collection of
seats with a firm formal identity,
with impeccable proportions and a strong
personality, perfect both in residential
and hospitality contexts. Characterised by its
light silhouette, Ta p e consists of an armchair
with and without armrests, a lounge armchair,
a bergère and two- or three-seat sofa
and ottoman. With his distinctive ironic
approach, the designer overturns the
traditional idea of the support feet that comes
out of the body of the seat, placing them
externally to the structure.
Ta p e owes its name to the couture detail,
conceived as a piece of ribbon that holds
the metal feet. The soft curve of the shell, which
designs the armrest and that accommodates
the soft back cushion, highlights the pure
and enveloping line of the armchair.
