The undulating profile of the ocean inspires
the Waves coffee table.
The succession of inverted semicircles
marks the sinuous front silhouette creating
hollow spaces for magazines, newspapers
and small objects in plain
sight. Designed in four sizes,
it can be combined with
other Waves, to create
a continuous modular
sequence that plays with the
transparency of the voids and
the lightness of the lines.
Faithful to his design philosophy, which
often challenges the rules of geometry,
Nendo has conceived Ring, a family of five
coffee tables with oval or circular tops in
various diameters customisable in bronzed
glass, Calacatta marble or ash veneer.
The design of the light metal structure,
available in different heights, defined by
orthogonal lines, is interrupted
by large rings. The eye is
attracted to the emptiness at
the centre of the rings, with an
effect of space and lightness.
