1 Cut out your stitched piece,
leaving a 2cm (¾in) border. Cut
out two panels of backing fabric to
21x5.5cm (8¼x2¼in) and sew to the
left and right sides of your stitching,
right sides facing, using a 1cm (½in)
seam allowance. Then cut out the
top and bottom panels measuring
5.5x35cm (2¼x13¾in) and repeat,
attaching to the top and bottom of
your stitching. Cut out a piece of
backing fabric to match the size of
your complete front panel.
2 Place the back and front fabric
panels together with right sides
facing. Stitch around the edges using

a 1cm (½in) seam, leaving a 5cm (2in)
gap at the top edge. Turn through,
press and slip stitch the gap closed.
3 To make a tab, cut a strip of fabric
measuring 16x9cm (6¼x3½in). Fold
in half lengthways and sew in place
with a 1cm (½in) seam leaving a 2cm
(¾in) gap. Turn through, press and slip
stitch closed. Repeat for second tab.
4 Fold the tabs in half and space
them evenly along the top edge,
pinning them in place. Stitch your
buttons to the centre of the tabs
through all the layers. Place your
dowel rod through the loops and
hang with your ribbon of choice.

I love these colours
and the cute chicks,
rabbit, flowers, eggs
and bows! I have
a close friend who
would adore this, so I
want to make this for
her as a hanging. It
would also look lovely
in a frame to bring
out every Easter.
