click on the red pupil to turn it black.

Make them smile
Go to Enhance > Adjust Facial
Features to alter a wide range of
features, such as re–shaping the face.
For more natural and subtle portrait
retouching, go to the Lips section and
drag the Smile slider to the right.

Open closed eyes
Choose Enhance > Open Closed
Eyes. Click to choose a problem face.
Under Eye Source, you can select an
open–eyed portrait from the Organizer.
Alternatively, you can try using the
sample eyes that ship with Elements.

PEOPLE ARE ONE of the most
popular subjects for a photo.
However, it can be a challenge
to make our friends and family
look their very best.
Many issues can aļect a decent portrait
picture. A blast of on–camera ľash
can make our nearest and dearest’s eyes
glow a ghoulish red. Flash can also create
hotspots that make your subject’s skin
look unľatteringly shiny and sweaty.
When shooting a group, one of your
subjects will invariably have their eyes
closed when you take the shot.

How to get your people pictures looking their best

Fortunately, Photoshop Elements can
counteract common shooting problems
like these. It can even coax a smile from
a reluctant subject if you’re particularly
clever with it.
People can be picky when it comes to
approving their portrait, especially if it’s
intended for social media. They might be
sensitive to wrinkles and spots, or wish
their teeth had been a little cleaner.
Elements boasts a collection of retouching
tools that can ľatter your subject by
whitening their teeth and creating a
cleaner complexion. GEORGE CAIRNS
