APPLE MAPS HASN’T always
been everyone’s go–to
navigational tool. Its limited
features meant that it
struggled to compete with Google Maps.
Thankfully, in iOS 13 the app boasts some
great new additions, such as sharing
estimated time of arrival with your
friends and real–time travel information
to make it a much more useful tool.
Maps now also oļers the option to
create collections, so that you can group
venues for certain locations. For example,
you could build up a collection of all the
must–see landmarks for your next
holiday, or list the top visitor attractions
for an upcoming city break.
You can create as many collections as
you like, saving places of interest by
location, type, or whatever you fancy.
Collections can also be shared with your
contacts, making it an ideal way to plan
a weekend getaway with friends or a big
road trip with family.
Once you’ve done your research, just
name your collection — you can even
add an image so it’s easier to Ľnd.

Search
In Maps, use the search bar to
find a place you plan to go to. If you’re
just browsing around, Apple handily
highlights places in the area that might
be of interest, so chances are you will
stumble upon something worth visiting.
Add/create
collection
Below the name of a place in its pane
there’s an “Add to” option. Either create
a collection by tapping New Collection or,
if you’ve already created collections, tap
on the one you want to use.
Edit and share
Once you’ve created a collection,
tap the Edit button (bottom left). You can
now change the name of the collection,
and add an image of your choice from
the Camera Roll. To send your collection
to others, tap the Share icon.
