The only video editor?

The video editing tools and features

in the iOS 13 Photos app are excellent

and you can do a lot with them.

However, you still need some extra

video editing tools like iMovie or third-

party apps. You cannot join two videos

together for example, or replace the

soundtrack, add music and so on. Use

Photos to prepare clips for other apps.

In iOS 13 you can now adjust the colour levels of your

captured video footage and add effects in the Photos app

like brightness, contrast,

colour saturation, black point,

sharpness and so on. Used

tools have a coloured border.

Before and after

After adding an effect, check it

by tapping the video. It shows

before and after applying it.

Spread two fingers to zoom into

the video and adjust the setting

if it is not what you want.

Adjust the effect

Use this control below the

selected tool to adjust the

amount that is applied. For

example, slide it left to reduce

the sharpening effect or right to

increase it. Use multiple tools if

you need to.

Apply filter effects

Tap this icon to access the

collection of filters that can be

applied to the video. They can

be used just for fun special

effects or to correct problems

with videos. The filter strength

can be adjusted.
