How do I import non

Books Store ebooks into

the Books app?

Download the ebooks

from your preferred source

and make a note of where

they are saved (such as

Downloads). Open the

Books app and then go to

File>Add to Library and then

navigate to the folder where

the ebooks are stored. Then

simply click to select one

and then click on the ‘Add’

button to add it to your

Books app library.

How do I turn off Read

Receipts in WhatsApp?

Tap on the ‘Settings’ option

in the lower-right corner of

the interface and then go

to Account>Privacy and

then turn off the ‘Read

Receipts’ option. Your ticks

in one-to-one chats won’t

turn blue to your recipients

now. However, as the option

states, Read Receipts are

always sent for group chats.

In macOS Catalina, how

can I access the iTunes

store to purchase music?

Go to Music>Preferences>

General and then tick the

‘iTunes Store’ option. Click

‘OK’ to leave the settings

screen and the iTunes Store

option will now appear in

your Music app sidebar.

How do I AirDrop items to

Go to Settings

From the menu, go to

Settings>Privacy and then

select ‘Restricted Accounts’

from the next list of options. Tap

‘Continue’ to proceed.

Find the person

Use the search feature to

find the name of the account

that you would like to restrict.

Matching accounts will be

displayed as you type.

Tap to restrict

When you have found the

account, tap on the ‘Restrict’

button and they will be prevented

from seeing your online activity.

Tap ‘Unrestrict’ to reverse it.

This feature is a new addition to Instagram, phasing

out more cumbersome methods of achieving the

same result – to read DMs without the sender

knowing and, in this case, preventing them from

knowing that you were even online. To start off, open

Instagram and tap on the profile icon in the lower-right

corner. Next, tap on the menu icon in the top-right

corner and then follow the steps below...

Block sender

Alternatively, tap on the

sender name at the top of the

email and it will turn blue – when

it does, tap on it again.

Check source

First, check that the emails

haven’t been sent from a mailing

list. If they have, you will see a

message like this at the top.

Tap to block

The sender’s contact page

will now be displayed. Tap on the

‘Block this Contact’ option near

the top of the page.

Unsubscribe

If the message is displayed,

tap on ‘Unsubscribe’ and then

tap the option again in the

confirmation box that appears.

One more time...

A confirmation message

will then appear. Tap the option

again and you will no longer

receive emails from that source.
