Dust features two playable characters
who have to work together to solve the many
taxing puzzles that they face in order to trace
back distant memories and restore light to a dark
and unforgiving world.
Featuring gorgeous hand-animated graphics,
the game has a striking look and the atmosphere
is aided by an incredible soundtrack that drives
the narrative without a word of dialogue being
spoke (there is none) and punctuates the action
and drama perfectly. There are very few clues
on hand to help you progress, instead you have
to clicktoexamineeverythingandthenworkout a tangible means of linking key objects
together and performing the actions needed to
progress. It uses light and shadows incredibly
well to create an alluring world of illusion that
engrosses and enthralls from the moment you
begin your incredible journey.
The only real drawback of the game is its
lifespan. You could realistically conquer it in
a few hours, making the steep asking price a
little questionable. But those hours that you
do spend in this captivating world, taking in
this emotionally-pulling story, will probably be
among the happiest you have ever spent playing
