Elly-fun
Meet Elly, the newest adorable character at Bothy Threads, as she gets
into all sorts of fun situations. Here we have her at The Watering Hole
(XEL1) and with a Jumbo Bouquet (XEL2) – perfect designs for spring.
There are also two summery designs in the series, so look out for these,
too. Each kit is worked on 14-count white aida with a finished
size of 24x24cm (9½x9½in), and costs £23.49. Elly was created
by Simon Taylor Kielty, the artist who brought us the wonderful
Bebunni, so it's no surprise that she has already won our hearts!

Easter joy
This cute, colourful design
encourages us to go egg-
hunting – as if we needed
telling twice! With lots
of sweet details to enjoy
stitching, many of which
could be used individually
as cards and smaller gifts,
this is a wonderful project
for Easter time. Work the
bright colours on 28-count
Melody Jobelan Hand-Dyed Fabric by Stephanie for the same
result, or choose another soft shade such as grey, taupe, blue or
lemon to give a springtime feel! This chart costs £8.33 from Tiny
Modernist, while the thread pack for this project is available
from Lakeside Needlecraft for £11.56.

DUTCH DELIGHTS
Inspired, no doubt, by the works of Monet and
Rembrandt, this meandering river scene takes us
past towering windmills and vibrant tulips under a
dramatic morning sky. If you've always longed to
visit Holland, why not do it in stitches? You'll work in
half cross stitch for much of this design, sometimes
with two shades blended together for a deeper,
richer effect. New from Merejka, Dutch Windmills
(K-167) measures 30x40cm (11¾x15¾in) on
a background of 16-count ice-blue aida.
