first race of2009 in Australia. The
German had swapped Toro Rosso
for Red Bull over the winter and
obviously liked his new car
so much he made one from sand
This was the ATS team’s reaction to
a potential strike by drivers at the
1982 South African GP. The Grand
Prix Drivers’ Association was
angry about new superlicence rules
but, eventually, a compromise was
reached and the race went ahead
