As first races go the debut of Walter

Wolf Racing in Formula 1 wasn’t

too shabby. At the 1977 opener in

Argentina Jody Scheckter, driving

the Harvey Postlethwaite-designed

WR1, qualified 11th but claimed

an unexpected victory
