‘I’ve updated everything, from
regrouting the tiles and then
painting the breakfast bar island with
a rich green paint called Breathe
Deeply from Valspar. I initially did
this just for Christmas but I was so
pleased with the splash of colour
that it’s staying for the time being.
I took one of the original wall
cupboards down and replaced it
with corner shelving with the help of
my father in law – he’s really handy
and luckily Paul’s brother is
a carpenter so he’s been brilliant.’
