Serves & shadings of the flag
Now I want to add some swagger to the flag and I’ve done so by adding some shade or light effects to some of the
curves and folds. For the folds, I just held a simple piece of paper against my surface so as to get a sharp edge. When it came
to the curves, I just breathed some life into it all according to my feeling for the work.

Sketch drawing of the “50“
Since the machine was already introduced at the
“Airpower16“ and the actual anniversary took place the
year after that, I only pre-sketched the “50” to make it ea-
sier for me next time or to save time.

Styrian flags and the panther
With respect to the rear portion of the helicopter,
my contractor and I decided to feature a green-white flag
and the Styrian panther, both of which represent the Aust-
rian state of Styrian. For the panther, I used a simple paper
template, which I quickly put together right on site. The let-
tering for the word Gefahr (i.e. “danger“), which is seen at
the rear rotor, also had to be part of the work and it nee-
ded to be very visible, but the construction site had provided
mean with a pre-approved cardboard template for this.
