Poem

“Oh mother moon, your silver beams


Keep pulling like the tide...


I long to land upon your sand


And stay there by your side.”


The lovely moon at once replies,


“I’m never far away...


I’m always here, just disappear


When night turns into day...”


In outer space the planets spin,


The earth keeps turning round


Until the moth has had enough


And tumbles to the ground.


In the gentle glow of the silvery moon


The moth unfolds her wings -


‘No more’, she sighs, ‘no more,’ she cries


And ‘nevermore,’ she sings...
