White-browed Wagtail
Binomial Name: Motacilla maderaspatensis
Among the six species of Wagtail found in Bangladesh, the White-browed Wagtail is theonly one that lives and nests permanently in the country. The White-browed Wagtail is a
rare resident bird of Bangladesh. The bird is not seen everywhere. Roams near river banks,large ponds or reservoirs of Dhaka, Khulna and Rajshahi divisions. They walk along the
water and eat grasshoppers, insects and small snails. Nests in safe places near waterbodies from January to October.
