Green Bee-eater
Binomial Name: Merops orientalis
The Green Bee-eater is a common resident smallsize bird of Bangladesh. It can be seen in all
divisions' rural groves, farms, and open fields. Theyusually roam in small groups. While flying, it catches
insects, bees, winged termites, winged ants,grasshoppers, butterflies, wasps, moths, and
beetles. They also have a habit of eating fish from
rivers and canals. Their nest in the riverside forest.Breeding season is from February to June.
