was transported to a nearby hospital in good condition,
all thanks to a lost flip-flop.

Austin, Texas Georgia Bramhall’s newly adopted Chihuahua
puppy was a gift from above.
A hawk flying near a group of construction workers
dropped its catch—a one-pound puppy. Amazingly, the
dog wasn’t seriously injured. The workers took it to a shelter.
“It was a true miracle,” Jennifer Olohan of the Austin
Animal Center told Austin 360. “Not only that the hawk
dropped him instead of taking off, but luckily people
were around to rescue him....”
No one knew where the puppy, dubbed Tony Hawk, had
come from. His story was all over the news. That’s how
he came to Georgia’s attention. Her Chihuahua, Bentley, had
recently vanished, leaving her heartbroken. Georgia sus-
pected a wild animal had gotten him. Now here was Tony
Hawk, dropped from the blue like a gift from heaven.
“I just feel like the way Bentley vanished and how devas-
tated we were,” she says, “and the way Tony Hawk just lit-
erally dropped from the sky...it just feels as if I’m supposed
to have him in my family.”

Tony Hawk dropped right into Georgia’s life.
