DJ has been drawing and painting since
childhood, and his methods and techniques
are largely self-taught. His style has developed
through many years of experience working in
professional fi ne art studios—designing and
producing artwork for hotels, restaurants,
commercial spaces, public areas and private
estates worldwide.
Now an independent freelance artist, he
enjoys spending some of his time teaching art
classes, doing public painting demonstrations and
running painting workshops and painting courses
throughout the UK and Europe.
An international prize-winning artis, his
work has been exhibited in many competitions
and galleries throughout the UK including
the Mall galleries in London and the RBSA in
Birmingham. He has also been a fi nalist in
International Artist magazine competitions
four times. His work is represented by Galeri in
Betws-y-Coed, North Wales.

It was at this point I felt the sky simply did not work for me. The clouds were too heavy and fi ghting with
the distant mountains, so broken clouds witnessed earlier that day were added using fi ngers.
