tells Us. Their blended family is
“very happy.”
No doubts for Dwyane Wade’s
daughter! “She’s very particular
about everything, just like her
mother,” the athlete, 37, jokes to
Us about 8-month-old Kaavia
(Mom is Gabrielle Union). The
little one’s attitude has made
parenting easier because “she
lets you know who she is and
what she wants,” Dwyane says.
“I love it.”
Like father, like son — but bet-
ter! Taye Diggs isn’t afraid to
admit that 9-year-old Walker has got
him beat in some areas. “He’s al-
ready smarter than me and a better
athlete,” the All American star, 48,
tells Us about his son, admitting that
Walker’s smarts have put a twist on
their schoolwork sessions. “A lot of
times, he’s teaching me the work he
has to do,” Taye admits, “but I’m
there for support.” Though the actor,
who feels like his son is “9 years old
going on 48,” loves watching as
Walker matures into a young man,
he still relishes his son’s silly mo-
ments. “He wants a younger sibling,
but he also says he doesn’t want
Dad to have a girlfriend,“ the Empire
alum admits with a laugh. Taye has
no idea how he’s “going to work that
out,” but for now, he’s “dipping [his]
toe” in the dating waters and focus-
ing on his coparenting relationship
with ex Idina Menzel. His advice on
keeping things cordial? “Put the kid
first and it really prioritizes all the
other bull.” Amen!
