DEEP DIVE
Tissot Seastar 1000 Quartz Chrono
Here’s a watch that Tissot fans, lovers of water sports, and those who prefer to stay on dry land alike would love to have on their wrist. The
Seastar 1000, a favorite among brand loyalists, is now available in chronograph form. The leftmost subdial is a 30-minute counter,
the rightmost is a 1/10 of a second counter, while the central subdial is a 60-second counter.
This 45.5mm diving watch features a stainless steel case, super-hard and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating,
a unidirectional bezel, an engraved sea horse design at the caseback, and luminescent hands and markings. A screwed down case and crown
ensure that the watch won’t get damaged when you go down to 1,000 feet or 300 meters beneath the sea surface.
FLY ME TO THE MOON
Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch
Anniversary Limited Series
Fifty years ago, on July 21, 1969, man first
stepped on the surface of the moon. On the
wrists of the Apollo 11 astronauts were NASA-
issued Omega Speedmaster watches, the first
timepiece to make its way to the lunar surface.
Joining the Moonshine gold limited edition
launched earlier this year, this commemorative
Speedmaster in stainless steel comes with
beautiful details such as a laser-engraved
subdial that features Buzz Aldrin climbing
down to make his first step on the moon,
a laser-engraved footprint at the caseback that
resembles the iconic footprint on the moon’s
surface, and a number “11” detail at 11 o’clock.
Other features include a bezel ring made out
of polished black ceramic with an Omega
Ceragold tachymeter scale, 18K Moonshine
Gold hands, and a manually wound Master
Co-Axial Caliber 3861 with a 50-hour power
reserve. A Velcro strap in blackened cork with
golden marks is included alongside the steel
bracelet. This watch is limited to 6,969 pieces.
