For a phone priced at just under P10,000, the Nokia 3.1 Plus is sure packed with great features and
specs—a true value for your money. While not exactly the most glamorous in terms of looks, this
smartphone offering comes with a large battery life and a fundamentally sound performance—surely a
winning deal for the practical buyer.

DIMENSIONS
156.9 x 76.4 x 8.2mm, 180g

The Nokia 3.1 Plus isn’t the flashiest device out there, but there’s a lot to be
commended in its core strengths. It has a nice, simple interface and the well-
performing cameras serve you consistently. It’s a good device with an even more
powerful battery—not bad for a sub-P10,000 phone.

The 3.1 Plus carries a 6-inch IPS LCD screen with a
nearly bezel-less display. It’s a sturdy carry with a
polycarbonate rear and an aluminum frame. The back
comes off easily for you to access the SIM card and
microSD card slot. The device has rounded edges, giving
the phone a more modern look. Our review unit came
in a suave navy blue, which helped a lot to boost this
device’s looks.

The phone touts a
1,440 x 720 resolution
and 18:9 aspect
ratio, which I found
just serviceable for
casual streaming
on YouTube. Binge-
watching, however,
might not be best
on this smartphone,
since color is a bit dull
and the display is dim
under strong light.

Performance-wise, the
Nokia 3.1 Plus can only
accommodate games
that don’t require a
lot in graphical power.
Its low frame rates
certainly wouldn’t help
when playing games
like PUBG: Mobile.

The phone is powered
by Android One, which
provides a clean and
uncomplicated interface
that’s a breeze to use.
Thanks to its 3,500mAh
battery, the phone was
able to endure moderate
use at 60 percent
brightness for an entire
day before dropping to
20 percent battery life.

The handset is equipped with a dual rear camera
setup. It has a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0
aperture and a 5MP secondary camera with an f/2.4
aperture. Those keen on self-portraits have an 8MP
front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture at their
disposal. The Nokia 3.1 Plus takes pretty respectable
photos; well-lit shots have commendable detail and
could very well contribute to your #feedgoals.
