Thefront-mostmount/bushforthefrontsubframeislocatedwitha
clamp.Slackeningthe¾innutandboltforthisclampwillhelpwith
removingthemount,butdonotextractthenutandbolt
Onthenearsidefront,thecoolanthoseconnectedtothebottomofthe
radiatormaybeintheway.Ifso,releasethepressurecapanddrainthe
coolantviathe^5 / 8 indrainplugonthefrontunderside
Cleaninsidethehousingforthebushusingabrasivepaper,thenwipeit
cleanwithaclothtoremovealltracesofdirt.Inspecttheconditionof
the1innutandbolt,makingsurethethreadsandflatsarenotdamaged
Alarge1innutandboltisfittedthrougheachfrontmountforthe
subframe.Undoboth.Ifyouareattemptingthisyourself,butdonot
havethecorrectsizesocketsandspanners,anadjustablewrenchwilldo
Detachthebottomcoolanthosefromtheradiator,andthereshould
nowbejustenoughroomtoextracttheoldmountingbushforthe
nearsideofthefrontsubframe
Fitthenewbushinsidethehousingandrefitthesteelcollarwithasmear
ofcoppergreaseappliedtotheexterior.Refitthelongmountingbolt,
rememberingtoslideanywashersbackintoposition.Fullytightenall
remainingnutsandbolts

Usingahammerandadrift,knocktheoffside
frontmountingboltthroughtoextractit(it
canremaininsitu,asshownhere).Makea
noteofanywashersfittedtoensuretheyare
refittedinthesameorder

Collectasteelcollarinsidethecentreofthe
bush.Driftouttheoldbushontheoffsidefront.
Becauseitsclamphasalreadybeenreleasedit
shouldbequitestraightforwardtoextract

Positionatransmissionjackunderneaththe
frontsubframe.Thishelpstotaketheload
offthefrontmountsandmakesiteasierto
extractthelargemountingbolts(nextstep)
