REAL WORLD MATHS

Boxes need tabs
When we draw a net for a real 3D
shape, we usually include tabs. Tabs
are flaps added to some of the shape’s
sides so that we can stick the box
together more easily. If you take an
empty cereal box apart, you’ll see the
tabs that have been glued to some of
the panels to form the box.
