method (PC: Alt-drag) on the ƒx
icon to copy the layer style to all
the other layers comprising the
title. Double-click the words “Color
Overlay” below the Polygon 1 copy
layer to open the Layer Style dia-
log, click on the color swatch, and
change the color overlay setting to
a teal color (#4bb5af). Do the same
for the Color Overlay style attached
to the numeral 2.
Step 27: The last step is to include
a bit of sparkle behind the title.
Add a new layer named “Flare”
above the Polygon 1 copy layer.
Go to Edit>Fill, set the Contents
drop-down menu to Black, and
click OK to fill the layer with black.
Set its blending mode to Screen
to render the black invisible. Go
to Filter>Render>Lens Flare and
choose the 105mm Prime flare.
Reposition the center of the flare
in the preview area, and click OK.
After applying the flare, use Free
Transform to scale the layer down
so the flare is barely larger than
the central polygon shape, and
position it at the bottom right of
the center polygon (see next page).
Reduce the layer Opacity to 56%,
and enjoy your Altered Carbon-in-
spired poster!
