Snow volleyball demonstrates
the fun, passion, and universality
of the sport of volleyball, which
is now accessible all year
round, from the summer to the
winter, from the beach to the
mountains, indoor and outdoor.


A total of 11 teams, 6 men
teams and 5 women teams,
were welcomed to Val Di Zoldo
to compete in the first ever
snow volleyball competition
organized by EUSA.


In the women’s team
competition, the gold medals
went around the necks of the
girls from the University of


Vienna (AUT), followed by the
silver medallists, the team
from Bucharest University of
Economic Studies (ROU) and
the bronze medallists of the
Ca’ Foscari University of Venice
(ITA).

In the men’s competition, the
first three positions on the
podium were occupied by the
Prague University of Chemistry
and Technology (CZE) winning
the gold medal, the University of
Klagenfurt (AUT) which won the
silver medal and the Technical
University of Darmstadt (GER)
which gained the bronze medal.

The Most Valuable Player award
was awarded given to Michaela
Wengler from the University of
Vienna (AUT) in the women’s
competition and Tadeas Trousil
from the Prague University
of Chemistry and Technology
(CZE) in the men’s competition.

Snow Volleyball is new,
innovative, and festive sport,
which is reaching its popularity
among athletes and student-
athletes, amazed by the
challenges and fun that the
snow courts can provide while
playing this sport.
