EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES

3x3 BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

DEBRECEN, HUNGARY

JULY 15-19, 2023

Over 200 participants, forming 40 teams from 35

universities, coming from 17 different countries took

part in the 2023 European Universities 3x3 Basketball

Championship, hosted by the city of Debrecen in Hungary.

The competition which involved

16 women’s and 24 men’s

teams was organized by

University of Debrecen, with the

contribution and partnership

of the Hungarian University

Sport Federation, the Hungarian

Basketball Federation,

Municipality of Debrecen, DEAC

and Debreceni Sportcentrum.

At the 3x3 Championship,

EUSA was represented by Ilan

Kowalsky, EUSA Technical

Delegate, Hrvoje Marin, EUSA

Assistant Technical Delegate

and Kinga Gaal, EUSA Staff

Representative.

The European universities

champion in the women’s

competition was Vasyl Stefanyk

University (UKR) after they won

an exciting final match against

University of Pitesti (ROU) with

result 19-16. The women from

the Vasyl Stefanyk University

won the gold medal with a

flawless performance, winning

all seven of their matches.

The bronze medal in the

women’s competition went to
