In the men’s competition, the
defending champions, Vytautas
Magnus University (LTU),
claimed the gold medal again.
They also had an unblemished
record throughout, and in the
final, they succeed to win the
match against Ukraine’s Sumy
State University with result
21-10. The men’s bronze medal
went to University of Valencia
(ESP).
The award for the Best Scorer of
the championship in the women’s
competition was given to Clarisse
Legrand from University of Lyon
(FRA) and to Segev Grylak from
Ruppin College (ISR) in the men’s
competition.
University of Debrecen from
Hungary was handed the award
for Fair Play among the women
competitors, while the same
award in the men’s competition
went to University of Paris 8
from France.
As Most Valuable Player (MVP)
in the women’s competition,
with the award in hands was
Veronica Kosmach from Vasyl
Stefanyk Precarpathian National
University (UKR), while in
the men’s competition this
award was claimed by Titas
Janusevicius from Vytautas
Magnus University (LTU).
In the Dunk contest, most
successful was László Komma
from Corvinus University (HUN)
and in the Shootout contest the
awards for best performance
went in the hands of Paula
Corrochano from Polytechnic
University of Madrid (ESP) and
Titas Janusevicius from Vytautas
Magnus University (LTU).
The competition also saw two
best teams of the tournament,
both in men’s and women’s
competition. In women’s
competition the best team was
made up by Clarisse Legrand
(University of Lyon), Ioana
Andreea Ghizila (University
of Pitesti), Veronica Kosmach
(Vasyl Stefanik University), while
in the men’s competition, in the
best team we could see Titas
Janusevicius (Vytautas Magnus
University), Illia Kabatsiura
(Sumy State University) and
Pablo Luengo Mateo (University
of Valencia).
The champions in both men
and women category, qualified
for the FISU University World
Cup in 3x3 Basketball, that took
place in Doha, Qatar. Next EUSA
3x3 Basketball competition
will be held at the European
Universities Games 2024 in
Debrecen-Miskolc, Hungary,
followed by the next edition of
the European Universities 3x3
Basketball Championship which
will be hosted in Ljubljana,
Slovenia from June 28 to July
2, 2025.
