University of Strasburg from
France won the overall title
by winning the match against
Brid Stepper of the German
Sport University of Cologne.
In the men’s singles, Harry
Huang from the University of
Nottingham defeated Viacheslav
Yakovlev of Turkey’s Admiral
Makarov National University of
Shipbuilding.
The British team, Sian Kelly and
Miu Lin Ngan from the University
of Nottingham won the women’s
doubles final against the French
pair, Anouk Nambot and Maria
Stoliarenko from the University
of Strasbourg. In the final
match of the men’s doubles,
Harry Goode and Samuel Smith
defeated Paak Raymond Chong
and Pak Yu Ng, taking both
gold and silver medals for the
University of Nottingham.
Samuel Smith and Sian Kelly,

Nottingham, won the mixed
doubles championship after a
thrilling match against Aymeric
Torres and Maria Stoliarenko
from the University of
Strasbourg.
The next European Universities
Badminton Championship will be
hosted in Madrid, Spain from 6 to
12 of July, 2025. Before that, the
next Badminton compatition will
be held at the 7th edition of the
European Universities Games in
Debrecen-Miskolc 2024.
