The Corvette Club of Battle Creek,

formed in 1959, held its 34th annual

Peoples Choice Corvette Car Show

last Sunday, June 2, at Cornwell’s

Turkeyville USA in Marshall – a

show that serves as a fundraiser for

local organizations as well as a public

display of vehicles from Corvette

clubs located across Michigan as well

as from neighboring states.

And hundreds of spectators showed

up last Sunday morning and into the

early afternoon to check out the out-

sides of the many Vettes on display

as well as looking at a plethora of

Vette engines via opened-up hoods.

The Corvette Club of B.C.’s offi-

cers for 2024 are president Andy

Harrison, vice president Chris

Beaver, secretary-treasurer Jennifer

Carr and governor Richard Williams.

Plus, the club’s 2024 board of

directors consists of chairman Merle

Witzki along with Danny Moss, Bob

Avani and Karen Dean.

Said club president Harrison: “We

have approximately 50 members in

our club, and just like other clubs

and organizations, we raise money to
donate to charitable organizations –
and we have a lot of fun doing so.
“As a club, the members are great
people and fun to be around. So, if
you are a Corvette lover and want to
have fun, meet new people – and yes,
eat ice cream – please get hold of us.
We would love to talk to you about
becoming a member.”
For more information about
membership opportunities, contact
Harrison at (269) 317-4012 via
call or text; or check out the club’s
Facebook page.
Monthly meetings for the Corvette
Club of B.C. take place the first
Wednesday of the month April
through December at 6:30 p.m. at the
Lakeview Assisted Living Center’s
Community Room at 14661 Helmer
Rd. South in Battle Creek – and
all interested parties are invited to
attend.
Close to 150 Corvettes were on
display for people to check out last
Sunday, and money was raised via
car show participation fees as well as
through raffles and the sales of mer-
chandise.
