munity tradition,” said spokesperson
Julie Adams.
The parade will feature a proces-

trucks, antique automobiles, bikes
and tractors, both vintage and mod-

The parade draws more participants
and spectators than any other event
in Newton Township, said Adams.
Participants are invited to join the

lineup at 10 a.m. at 8-1/2 Mile Road
and B Drive South, with no entry fee
or reservation required.
The parade will step off at 11 a.m.,
making its way east to the Newton
Township Hall (former Grange Hall),
where spectators can gather to watch
the festivities at the hall or along the
road.
Parade marshals are Larry and
Jane Roberts, long-time Newton
Township members and former fire
department chief.

The celebration continues post-
parade inside the township hall,
where food and beverages will be
served.
The Calhoun County 4H Council
will also be organizing games for
children.
