A total of 80 youngsters ages 7-15


  • who hailed from city and area sites
    as well as from cities in the southern,
    western and middle parts of Michigan
    plus the northern parts of Indiana –
    participated in a PGA of America
    Drive, Chip, Putt local qualifier at
    Binder Park Golf Course in Battle
    Creek on the morning and early after-
    noon of Thursday, July 25.
    The top two finishers in each age
    division advanced to a sub-regional
    qualifier at Boulder Creek Golf Club
    in Belmont on Aug. 17.
    From there, the top finishers at the
    sub-regional level advance to a region-
    al qualifier at Valhalla Golf Club in
    Louisville, KY on Sept. 15; and then
    the top finishers there then advance to
    the national championships at Augusta
    (GA) National Golf Club during the
    Masters Championship next spring.

    from last Thursday’s local qualifier:
