Brian M.
Woodman, 51, of
Homer, Michigan,
went to be with
the Lord on Friday,
July 19, 2024. He
was born June 14,
1973.
He grew up in
Homer and gradu-
ated from Homer
High School in- Some of
Brian’s favorite
things included fishing, bowling, wres-
tling and football, especially using Dallas
Cowboys-styled parts for his car.
Brian is survived by his loving mother,
Kolean England of Homer; son Benjamin
Woodman of Homer; daughter Acacia
“Casey” Harris of Marysville, Mich.; three
grandchildren, Raidyn, Ariella and Layla of
Marysville; his brother, Alan Woodman of
Homer; and sister Darla Woodman of Battle
Creek.

Michigan, passed away Saturday, July
27, 2024, at Rose Arbor Hospice in
Kalamazoo.
She was born May 25, 1947, to George
E. and Regina U. (Schnitzler) Cordrey in
Marshall. During her childhood and teen
years, her summers and school vacations
were spent at the family’s cottage at Lyon
Lake, where she enjoyed playing with her
many friends. These memories have for-
ever remained some of the happiest times
of her life.
Georgia grew up in Marshall, attend-
ing St. Mary Catholic School through
the 8th grade and then Marshall High
School, graduating with the class of 1965.
She then attended Kellogg Community
College, receiving an associate degree
in 1967 and graduating from Western
Michigan University in 1969 with a bach-
elor’s degree. Later on in life she returned
to Western Michigan University and
received a master’s degree.
She also became a paralegal after com-
pleting a course in Philadelphia, Pa. She
worked for various lawyers and then the
Calhoun County Prosecutor’s office, retir-
ing in 2010. After retirement she spent her
time socializing and chauffeuring many
of her dear friends. She will be greatly
missed by her wonderful friends of many
years.
Georgia was preceded in death by her
parents.

Kumar Singh,
70, passed away
at his home, sur-
rounded by family,
on Wednesday,
July 31, 2024, in
Battle Creek, Mich.
He was born June
24, 1954, to John
and Florence Singh,
in Jabalpur, India.
On July 16, 1983,
he married Bernice
Gilroy in Battle Creek, Mich. He touched the
lives of many through his remarkable journey
and unwavering dedication to his faith, family
and career.
Vipin grew up in Jabalpur, India, where
he made a significant impact as a respected
defense attorney. His passion for justice and
commitment to his profession were evident
throughout his career. In 1980, he was elected
to serve as a delegate for the United Methodist
Church to come to the United States.
During his time as a delegate, he met and fell
in love with his wife, Bernice. Her unwavering
love and support were central to his strength
and success as an entrepreneur owning many
businesses in Battle Creek, Mich. Their partner-
ship was a cornerstone of his life, and together
they shared countless moments of joy, laughter
and mutual support.
He is survived by his wife Bernice; his four
beloved children, Ashish (Amber), Sonia (Matt),
John (Lisa) and Asha (Michaelia); his five
grandchildren, Lola, Belle, Carter, Sawyer and
Rakshaan; one sister, Edith (Llewlyn) Clements;
one brother, Sushil (Mildred) Singh; as well
as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends who carry forward his legacy with pride
and love.
He was preceded in death by his brothers
Anil Singh and Sunil Singh of Jabalpur, India.
Vipin’s journey was one of perseverance,
love and service. He will be deeply missed but
fondly remembered for his contributions, his
love for his family and his enduring spirit. His
laughter, wisdom and unwavering faith will
continue to inspire those who were fortunate
enough to know him.
The family invites all who knew him to join
us in remembering a remarkable man, whose
legacy will live on through the lives he touched.
Funeral services to celebrate Vipin’s life were
held Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Farley Estes
Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, Battle
Creek. The service was live-streamed and may
be viewed at https://vimeo.com/event/4484025.
Interment followed at Floral Lawn Memorial
Gardens Cemetery.

4, 2024 Virginia lived a great life. She never
knew a stranger and greeted everyone with
a smile. Virginia was born July 10, 1937 in
West Helena AR she is survived by son Jeff (Teri) Hubbard, daughters MaryAnn
McGee, Nina Stravers, Laurie Hubbard, and Monica Cummings, brother Floyd
Bradley 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded
in death by husband James, son James Jr, sister Edna Stokes and mother Annie
C Johnson.A brief memorial will be held on

and one of her request was as many people as possible wear yellow to her
