Patrons will have a say in choosing
Battle Creek’s food bests Oct. 5-
when Battle Creek Restaurant Week
returns.
Up for grabs are the titles of
Best Burger, Best Cocktails, Best
Breakfast, Best Dessert, Best Pizza
and more, recognition being sought
by more than 45 different establish-
ments.
Among them are Cafe Rica,
Handmap Brewing, Simply
Sensational Berries, Ciao Bella
Chocolate, New Holland Brewing,
Volcano Pizza, Sunrise Cafe and
more.
“Battle Creek Restaurant week
gives local food lovers the opportuni-
ty to enjoy the great offerings of local
participating restaurants,” said Jade
Bolden of the The Battle Creek Small
Business Development Office. “The
goal of Restaurant Week is to support
Battle Creek’s hospitality industry
by highlighting a variety of culinary
menus, from casual to fine dining, as

well as stimulating business and rev-
enue for restaurants throughout the
community.”
The event is sponsored by Breaking
Bred, Penetrator Events, Small
Business Development Office for the
City of Battle Creek, Sprout BC, and
Kellogg Arena.
“The Small Business Development
office believes in supporting all
small businesses because it’s impor-
tant to highlight every entrepreneur,”
said Bolden. “We may be a smaller
town, but there are a lot of differ-
ent food options within our city,
and I think that’s one thing that is a
strength of ours, is having a variety
of different food businesses that
aren’t just franchised, but that are
outside of that. And so with Battle
Creek Restaurant Week, we have
the opportunity to share and expose
those restaurants and those brands,
and have the community try them out
as well. It’s just an amazing time to
give back specifically to those busi-
nesses.”

The complete list is available at
battlecreekrestaurantweek.com where
patrons can also cast their votes.
“There will be different catego-
ries for the community to vote on,”
said Bolden. “That way, it just gets
everybody involved. And I think it

adds to the fun, especially being that
I think everyone loves to have a little
bit of competitiveness between each
other. So you just get to see who has
the best of what. And it allows you
to visit all 40 plus restaurants to see
who has the best in your opinion.”
