CALHOUN COUNTY, MICHIGANTO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE CHARTER TOWN-
SHIP OF BEDFORD, CALHOUN COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND ANY OTH-
ER INTERESTED PERSONS:Please take notice that the following is a summary of an Ordinance, being
Ordinance No. 10/10/24/66, titled Solar Energy Systems Ordinance which was adopted
by the Bedford Charter Township Board at its regular meeting held October 10, 2024, to
repeal and replace Bedford Charter Township Ordinance 07/13/23/40; to provide regu-
lations for solar energy systems within the Township; to set an application procedure; to
provide for severability; and, to provide an effective date of said Ordinance:ORDINANCE 10/10/24/66 AMENDING BEDFORD
CHARTER TOWNSHIP 07/13/23/40SECTION I. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 5A, SOLAR ENERGY
SYSTEMS ORDINANCE INTENT AND PURPOSE. This
section amends Section 5A of Ordinance 07/13/23/40 in its
entirety to set forth the intent allow for solar energy systems
an regulate their development projects.SECTION II. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 5A, SOLAR ENERGY
SYSTEMS ORDINANCE - DEFINITIONS. This section
amends Section 5A of Ordinance 07/13/23/40 to add defini-
tions and terms used throughout the ordinance.SECTION III. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 5A, SOLAR ENERGY
SYSTEMS ORDINANCE SMALL SCARE SOLAR EN-
ERGY SYSTEM. This section amends Section 5A of Ordi-
nance 07/13/23/40 to add Section 6 to allow for small scare
solar energy systems and regulations for the same.SECTION IV. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 5A, SOLAR ENERGY
SYSTEMS ORDINANCE, SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEMS.
This section amends Section 5A of Ordinance 07/13/23/40
to add regulations for utility grade solar farms; to provide
for regulations for the same; to set for application require-
ments; to require buffering; to require liability insurance;
to provide for decommissioning and bond; to require and
escrow fee.SECTION V. SEVERABILITY. The provisions of this Ordinance are
severable.SECTION VI. REPEAL. This section repeals Ordinance 07/13/23/40 in its
entirety.SECTION VII. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall take effect 8
days after publication, after adoption.PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed ordinance amendments are on
file in the Office of the Township Clerk at the Bedford Charter Township address set forth

USE MARIHUANA ESTABLISHMENT ORDINANCE 10/14/21/65SECTION 1. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 4, RECREATIONAL
(ADULT USE) MARIHUANA ESTABLISHMENT
ORDINANCE. This section amends Section 4 of Or-
dinance 10/14/21/65 to limit the number of grower
licenses to 45 for A, B and C growers, to set a limit
the number of licenses for other establishment use.SECTION 2. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 5, RECREATIONAL
(ADULT USE) MARIHUANA ESTABLISHMENT
ORDINANCE. This section amends Section 5 of Or-
dinance 10/14/21/65 to set license fees; to set a 60-ap-
plication window and procedure.SECTION 3. AMENDS TO SECTION 6 LICENSE EVALU-
ATION CRITERIA, RECREATIONAL (ADULT
USE) MARIHUANA ESTABLISHMENT ORDI-
NANCE. This section amends Section 6 of Ordinance
10/14/21/65to set for a competitive bid process if the
Township receives more applications for recreational
(adult use) establishments licenses than are autho-
rized by this ordinance.SECTION 4. SECTION 5. REPEAL. This section provides for
repeal of any conflicting ordinances.SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall take effect
