declared MVP of the tournament.


Anticipation was high for the
women’s finals, and the matches
didn’t disappoint. The Hungarian
University of Sports Science
(HUN) grabbed the bronze
medal in a tense two-point
victory over the University of
Castilla-La Mancha (ESP). The
gold-medal showdown between
Ovidius University (ROU) and
the University Palacky Olomouc
(CZE) was a heart-stopper,
with Ovidius University (ROU)
ultimately prevailing to defend
their championship crown.


The Fair Play Award was
deservedly awarded to the
Norwegian University of Science
and Technology. The Best Scorer
was Nele Eckert with 48 points


scored (University of Bochum),
and Macacova Monika won the
MVP Award (University Palacky
Olomouc).

EUSA and the city of Covilha,
Portugal, are looking forward to
welcoming student-athletes at
the next EUSA Handball event as
part of the European Universities
Championships, to be held from
July 22-28, 2025.
