do in transition.

Choosingthebestraceline
outoftheswimexitcanbe
tricky.It’simportanttolook
upandfinda clearvisualpath
aheadinordertoavoidany
potentialhazards,soremove
yourhatandgogglesassoon
asyoubegintherun.Make
sureyouconcentrateon
keepingholdofthemuntil
T1,though,asit canbeall
tooeasytodropthem
while running.

Starttostripduring
theruntoT1

ofthesuitoffduringtherun
totransition.Withthezip
unfastened,grabthecollar
andpullyourarmsthrough.
Thelubewillworkitsmagic
andprovidea slipperysurface
forthearmstocomefree.
Onceyourupperbodyis out,
tugthesuitdown towards
your waist.

Gettoknowthe
transitionflow
WithT1preparationachieved
duringtheruntotransition,
thenextmoveis gettingto
yourbikeasquicklyas
possible.Transitionsare
hecticplaces.Thiscould
makeyoufeeldisorientated
whentryingtofindyourbike.
Familiariseyourselfwiththe
transitionflowbeforetherace
toavoidconfusion.Also,have
yourkitonshowsoyou can
spot it as you enter.

Kickyourlegsintogear
Inthelast200moftheswim,
it’stimetogetyourselfready
fortheruntoT1.Increasethe
frequencyofyourlegkickas
youapproachtheswimexit.
Thiswillencouragemore
bloodtobepumpedtoyour
musclesandadditionalenergy
foryourlegs.Onceyou’ve
scrambledoutoftheswim
andarestandingupright,
yourrunninglegs will begin
to kick in.
