Vrata Valley

A classic glacial

valley on the

northern side of

Mount Triglav,

Vrata valley is

overlooked by

tower ing limestone

rock formations.

Pokljuka Plateau

This unspoilt area of

pine forests and pas-

tures is crisscrossed by

nature trails. The

highlight is the Pokljuka

Gorge, which burrows

through the pla teau’s

northern flanks.

The Goreljek Peat-Bog Nature Trail

passes through unspoilt wetlands,

rich in cranberries, bilberr ies and

the insect-devour ing sundew plant.

The Radovna cycle route

leads visitors through

verdant farmland dotted

with traditional villages.
