GETTING AROUND
Liège airport focusses on cargo transport, but is
also used for passenger (mainly charter) flights.
Motorways link the city to Brussels, Luxembourg,
Charleroi, Antwerp and major cities across the
border in the Netherlands and Germany. SNCB
rail routes connect many of the main towns, but,
owing to the rugged landscape, are relatively
sparse. TEC Namur-Luxembourg provides a bus
network to complement the trains, and includes
a phone-a-ride Telbus service reaching 270
villages in Luxembourg. The greatest concentra-
tion of GR paths in Belgium are in the north of
this region, around the Hautes Fagnes and the
valleys of the rivers Ourthe and Amblève.
