ewYork’s five boroughs are a well-known treasure trove of arts and culture, with muse-
ums, galleries and historical sites seemingly at every turn. What may be less familiar to
residents are the cultural experiences that exist on the other side of the city’s bridges
and tunnels. Consider the Hamptons. Synonymous with palatial beachfront estates
and grandiose summer soirees,it has more to offer than sand and sea.Equally, the HudsonValley,
located north of the city, sports a scenic landscape set against the Hudson River with tremendous
offerings for art seekers as well.

wants of city slickers, think again. The Parrish Art Museum (PAM) has been around since 1898. Back
