Luxury Homes and Developments

by Kelly Bryant

But it does get better. Views aside, high-
rise living is bursting with luxury ameni-
ties, putting the cherry on top of a richly
frosted cake.
“Buyers are looking for a variety of
experiences and conveniences that are
essentially an extension of their home,”
says Jeanne Martini, director of sales for
Tribune Tower Residences. “Many want
state-of-the-art health and fitness fa-
cilities, an indoor pool, gaming and en-
tertainment rooms, luxurious spaces to
entertain guests with magnificent views
of the city, an outdoor oasis to lounge and
alternate workspace.”
With over 55,000 square feet of amenity
space, Tribune Tower delivers on provid-
ing its residents with the most current, in-
demand luxuries. For example, the tower’s
25th floor features a space that will make
foodies’ jaws drop. Boasting an indoor
chef’s kitchen and an outdoor terrace with
grill, firepit and fresh herb garden, even
amateur cooks can impress their guests
with the ambience alone.

FIVE-STAR STAFF
Anyone can fill a residential building
with gorgeous decor and high-tech gad-
getry and call it opulent living. But the dis-
cerning homebuyer knows there needs to
be expertise and sophistication from the
ground up in a high-rise building of such
an extravagant scale.
“Buyers want service, first and fore-
most,” says Al Coker, president and CEO
of Al Coker & Associates, who is working
with Windrose Tower, a new construction
luxury high-rise in Plano, Texas. “They’re
looking for a proven, highly skilled and
professional management group that en-
sures the quality of their investment long
term and provides daily services such as
valet, concierge and package handling.”
Noam Ziv, executive director of devel-
opment for Elad National Properties, re-
sponsible for ALINA Residences in Boca
Raton, Florida, agrees that earning a resi-
dent’s trust with exceptional handling of
their day-to-day necessities is just as im-
portant as any flashy amenity, if not more.

“Concierge services certainly rank
high on the list,” Ziv says. “ALINA resi-
dents appreciate luxuries without leaving
home. Life’s little necessities are eas-
ily handled with a phone call or app tap.
They want to come home to a headache-
free environment so they can make the
most of their free time.”

A+ PERKS
In a residential category with luxury-
seeking buyers, staying ahead of the curve
in terms of what’s new and now in comforts
and niceties can be a challenge, though not
for developers that think outside the box.
“There will always be those basic must-
haves — pool, fitness area, dog run, game
rooms,” Martini says. “Local demographics
will dictate additional, more specific ame-
nities. In Chicago, for example, a bar and
private outdoor space, as well as golf simu-
lators, would be a hit.”
While Coker and his colleagues never
underestimate the importance of an own-
er’s practical needs, they’re also at the
ready with these types of leisurely enjoy-
ments at Windrose Tower.
“We have hit on the core project ameni-
ties with curated twists: We offer a casual
19th hole PUB entertaining area to com-
plement the elegance of our Aqua Lounge,”
he says. “We have catered to the large golf-
ing community with a top-of-the-line golf
simulator and outdoor putting green.”

GREEN MATTERS
Regardless of where you are in the coun-
try, easy access to an outdoor space that
feels cultivated for your wants and needs is
one of life’s little pleasures. Living in a high-
rise doesn’t afford the opportunity for a
backyard, but luxury towers are filling that
gap with supremely designed private parks.
At Windrose Tower, those sharing their
residence with man’s best friend will ap-
preciate a covered dog park, while a private
1.75-acre park shared with their neighbor,
LVL 29 Apartments, makes for a sublime
outdoor experience.
In South Florida, where year-round
warm temperatures constantly call people
to the outdoors, Ziv can’t emphasize the
importance of these spaces enough.
“ALINA is unique in the scope and
scale of the greenscape provided to buy-
ers. Particularly for those looking to tran-
sition from single-family home living to
condominium living, the expansive private
outdoor spaces provide a plethora of op-
portunities for enjoyment,” he says.
With so much to see from the windows
of these towering architectural feats and
and just as much to do inside, it’s a won-
der any high-rise resident ever leaves their
home. As Martini points out, that’s kind of
the point.
