MONTBLANC MB 01
£525, montblanc.com
Luxury specialists Montblanc’s first pair of
headphones look the business – their
combination of sleek aluminium and soft
sheep’s leather, rounded off by the German
brand’s iconic six-pointed star logo, make these
foldable cans an instant status symbol. Built in
consultation with Audeze co-founder Alex
Rosson, and available in brown, black or grey,
the MB 01s are equipped with active noise
cancelling, 40mm neodymium drivers, Google
Assistant, Bluetooth 5.0, support for high-res
audio files and a claimed 20-hour battery life.
Proximity sensors in the cups mean that you
can play or pause your music with ease, while
multipoint connections mean you can hook
them up to more than one device at the same
time. Pricey, but you’d expect nothing less.
T3 SAYS: The posh pen-maker has written a
new chapter in its distinguished history.
OPPO WATCH
£tbc, oppo.com
There’s no hiding from it – Oppo’s first
wearable looks a lot like the Apple Watch.
Make no mistake, though, this Chinese-made
device – due to land in Europe later this year
- is an impressive timepiece in its own right.
For a start, it boasts eSIM support, meaning you
can make and receive calls on it independently
of a smartphone. Its 1.91-inch, 326ppi “3D
flexible hyperboloid display” is a world-first for a
smartwatch – the technology usually deployed
on flagship smartphones. There’s a wealth of
fitness features on board, with five different
exercise sensors, heart-rate and sleep
monitoring, and waterproofing to five metres.
Plus, a dual-chip endurance system and VOOC
flash-charging technology combine to deliver up
to 21 days of use and super-speedy top-ups.
T3 SAYS: Oppo’s first foray into the wearables
market is much more than a tribute to Apple.
