PHONESOAP PRO
£100 (approx), phonesoap.com

According to PhoneSoap, the average handset
is “18 times dirtier and contains more harmful
bacteria than a public toilet”. That’s why, a few
years back, the American company launched
its original, self-titled cleaning gadget, with the
help of Kickstarter funding. Looking much like a
glasses case, this pocket sanitiser contained an
electronics-friendly UV-C light that was able to
kill 99.99% of the germs on your blower –
including Influenza Type A, which, according to
the makers, is “similar to the coronavirus”. Now,
PhoneSoap has unveiled a Pro version, which
contains twice the number of UV-C bulbs, and
can therefore do the job much faster – the
company claims it’ll obliterate those pesky
organisms in just five minutes.

T3 SAYS: With everyone being worried about
germs at the moment, this new phone sanitiser
could clean up.

NOKIA 8.3 5G
£545/£591 (approx), nokia.com

Nokia’s first 5G smartphone plays a cameo role
in the new James Bond movie, No Time to Die.
But, seeing as the 25th outing for 007 has been
put back several months, we thought we’d steal
the film’s thunder and showcase the phone
here first. Much like Bond himself, the 8.3 5G is
a refined customer (especially for the money),
boasting a gorgeous Polar Night finish that was
inspired by the Northern Lights; an almost
bezel-less 6.81-inch PureDisplay; an energy-
efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G modular
platform; a choice of 64GB or 128GB internal
storage; and a quad-camera set-up that comes
with cinematic effects provided by Zeiss. The
only downside is that Nokia currently has no
plans to launch the handset here in the UK.

T3 SAYS: If this sleek and powerful phone is
good enough for 007, then it’s good enough
for us. Pity it’s not available in the UK... yet.
