TENSION
13 sts and 25 rows to 10cm over st st.
Use larger or smaller needles if necessary
to obtain correct tension.
ABBREVIATIONS
ML = make loop: knit into next st, but
without letting it drop of the needles,
bring yarn to front between needles,
wind yarn clockwise around thumb
holding needle and then back between
the needles, knit same st again and then
return 2 sts to the LH needle and k2tog tbl

PATTERN NOTE
All three designs use the intarsia method.
Remember to twist the yarns together
when you change colour to avoid holes.
TEAL AND COPPER CUSHION
Front
Using D, cast on 49 sts.
Joining in and breaking of colours as
required, work Chart rows 1-94.
Do not cast of. Leave rem sts on a holder
or scrap yarn.
Back
Using A, pick up and k49 sts along cast-on
edge of front.
Cont in st st until back meas the same as
the front. Leave sts on needles.
PINK AND GREY CUSHION
Front
Using C, cast on 49 sts.
Joining in and breaking of colours as
required, work Chart rows 1-94.
Do not cast of. Leave rem sts on a holder
or scrap yarn.
Back
Using E, pick up and k49 sts along cast-on
edge of front.
Cont in st st until back meas the same as
the front. Leave sts on needles.
TEXTURED CUSHION
Front
Using C, cast on 49 sts.
Joining in and breaking of colours as
required, work Chart rows 1-94.
Do not cast of. Leave rem sts on a holder
or scrap yarn.
Back
Using D, pick up and k 49 sts along cast-
on edge of front.
Cont in st st until back meas the same as
the front. Leave sts on holder.
TO FINISH (ALL CUSHIONS)
Return front sts to a needle.
With RS facing, line up both sets of 49 sts
so they are facing the same way.
Using spare needle, work a three-needle
cast-of.
Block to measurements.
Using backstitch or mattress stitch if
preferred, sew up one side seam. Insert
cushion pad and sew up inal seam using
mattress st. You can join side seams using
a row of double crochet if preferred.
