Osmo
Time to catch up with all the latest releases in the tech world.
Razer Sila
Razer Raiju
If you’re sick of your parents always
whinging about you playing too many
fighting games, then you should show
them Osmo. It really is very, very cool.
It works by getting an iPad or iPhone
in a dock and then placing a special
scanning device over the camera.
You then load up the app and use
various physical toys to play learning
games. Rather than feeling like work,
they’re actually really good fun. These
a whole range of Osmo games, but
our favourites so far are Tangram,
where you organise shapes into
pictures, Numbers, where solve maths
problems, Coding, where you build
your own game, and Masterpiece,
where you practice your art.
If you’re looking to get serious with your gaming on
PS4, the Razer Raiju Tournament Edition controller
is pretty epic. It feels great in your hands, with more
weight than a standard controller and a nice grip
feel. The buttons feel nice to press, too, and the
touchpad is much improved. It’s the additions though
to the normal DualShock that make it stand out.
There’s an extra four trigger buttons you can map
moves to, a locking mechanism for the triggers that
make it easier to shoot in fighting games, and the
ability to easily use it on a PC as well as a PS4.
For most gamers in the modern day, all our
online activities are done via Wi-Fi. The
internet comes into the house, goes into the
router, and then that blasts the internet into
every room. But if you want to play well online,
you need that connection to be perfect. So you
need to pay attention to your Wi-Fi router and
make sure it is really good. The new Razer
Sila is purpose built for Wi-Fi gaming. It has a
whopping nine antennas, works on the fastest
Wi-Fi standard, has a big range, looks cool and
can even keep congestion at bay!
